Hill racked up a career- high 142.3 passer rating while leading the Niners to a 35-3 halftime lead, the most first-half points scored by the club since 1992. Ross had two interceptions, one he returned 50 yards for a touchdown, and added six solo tackles in the Giants' 30-10 win over Baltimore. It was Ross' second career two-interception game, and his second career touchdown. His second pick was a backbreaker, as it came with the Giants holding a 20-10 lead in the third quarter and Baltimore driving.
Rackers made 4-of-4 field goals and added two PATs in Arizona's 26-20 victory over Seattle. He was successful on field goals of 38, 48, 54 and 26 yards and has now made 13 straight.
Other players considered for the awards included Carolina running backs Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams, who rushed for 130 and 120 yards, respectively, in the Panthers' 31-22 win over Detroit; Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway, who had 16 tackles in a 19-13 loss to Tampa Bay; and Lions kicker Jason Hanson, who tied a franchise-record for longest field goal with his 56- yarder on Sunday.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- New York Mets pitcher Orlando Hernandez, sidelined at spring training because of arthritis in his neck, is expected to resume throwing on Tuesday.
Hernandez received a cortisone shot Thursday after leaving camp and returning to New York to have his neck examined. The 41-year-old right-hander is penciled in as the team's No. 2 starter behind Tom Glavine.
El Duque's health is a major issue for the Mets, who won the NL East in 2007 and came within one victory of the World Series. Their aging and unsettled rotation is a big question mark this year.
